Here are some of our favourite local spots - the ones we boomerang back to again and again.

☕️ Adrénaline Coffee Roasters $

Right next to the Vieille Ville, Kevin (a keen rugby player) and Willy (a passionate climber) have built something truly special. They roast their own beans, know their profiles inside out, and bring the kind of enthusiasm that makes you want to order a second flat white just to keep chatting. It’s new, it’s local, and it’s fast becoming the place to caffeinate before a morning trail run.

🥄 Origines $$

If you like a bit of mystery with your meal, Origines is your spot. Founded by the same team behind Racines, it offers 4- or 8-course surprise menus dreamed up by chef Arnaud Chazaud - who’s always tinkering with ferments, bouillons, and barbecued oddities. Expect to eat something you didn’t know could taste that good, and to leave wondering how on earth he did it.

🥕 L’Artisan $$

Chef Damien Decelle cooks like he’s telling a story - one that stretches from Lyon to the Basque Country, Finland to Australia, before landing right here in Annecy. His menu celebrates local and seasonal produce, and he’s part of the same local startup network as us (Initiative Grand Annecy), which makes us love it even more. Every dish feels considered, and you can taste the miles (and memories) behind it.

🍷 Les Terrasses du Lac $$

Run by Hervé and Virginie, this lakeside gem is one of those places that feels like summer - even in February. Think long lunches, good company, and the kind of food that somehow tastes better when eaten outdoors. Go for the view, stay for the warmth.

🥐 Aristide $

If Yanaa made bread, it would look a lot like Aristide. “La Boulangerie Atypique” makes only sourdough - everything from croissants to brioches to biscuits - all sold by weight. No additives, no nonsense, just real bread with a lower glycaemic index and a lot of heart. It’s what all French bakeries were meant to be like.

☕️ Café Bunna $

Annecy’s tiniest (and possibly best) coffee spot. Olaf and Jolanda started with a mobile cart in Chamonix before finding their nook in a little stone archway. There’s room for about four people, and that’s part of the charm. Ten out of ten for cosiness. Ten out of ten for coffee.

🥑 Kia Ora $

Friends of Anouck - and the makers of Annecy’s best brunch. The menu changes daily, always seasonal, always delicious. Book ahead (it’s by reservation only) and try to nab the swing seat in the window. They also do a brilliant weekday lunch - the kind that makes you linger longer than you planned.

🥔 Le Beignet Alpin $

Run by Paul Gévaux, who’s part of the same Annecy startup scheme as us, this spot celebrates the real flavours of Savoie. Think fondue, charcuterie, and Paul’s signature beignet de pomme de terre - his grandmother’s recipe. It’s authentic, hearty, and served with pride.

🍷 Bistro Sauvage $

Anouck’s favourite. The walls are filled with art, the tables with natural wine, and the whole place hums with easy-going charm. The food’s delicious - unpretentious but perfectly cooked - and if you love a good glass of something cloudy and funky, you’ll be very happy here. (They’re even featured on the brilliant Raisin app.

🥙 Dip Honest Food $

One look at Dip’s Instagram and you’ll be booking a table. Middle Eastern-inspired, with “honest food” at the core - from colourful bowls to creative cocktails. The little alcoves make it feel like you’ve stumbled upon something secret. It’s one of Anouck’s go-tos, and for good reason.

🍜 Yatta Ramen $

We simply had to include them here; they're the best ramen in town. Don't hesitate to order the Chashu Ramen - you won't regret it.

🎨 For the Creatively Hungry

Annecy has a knack for blending good food and creativity, and these two spots do it best:

  • La Bulle Café – a ceramic and painting café where you can sip and sculpt at the same time.
  • Drink & Draw – a monthly art event, where local artists (and the artistically curious) gather over drinks to sketch, share, and connect.

What's Next?

From coffee beans roasted by climbers to sourdough baked by dreamers, Annecy’s food scene is full of people who remind us why we love what we do at Yanaa – bringing real food, real people, and real connection together.
